Behind the Kia Commercial in Mallorca with Rafa Nadal

A recent Kia commercial in Mallorca "Every move Matters", brought tennis icon Rafa Nadal back to his roots for the Australian Open campaign. The UK-based production company Family Creative once again teamed up with us at TAN TAN to handle the full production service on the island, our second year collaborating on this global campaign.

Filming took place at several locations in and around Palma, including a beautifully restored local cinema, where Nadal reflected on past Australian Open moments. We also arranged a quick content shoot at Rafa’s Academy later in the day.

Shot on the Alexa Mini LF camera with K35 lenses. The Scorpio Arm, mounted on a tracking vehicle with a Nodal 360-degree ring, provided the dynamic range of motion. For the aerial perspective, we launched an FPV drone equipped with the RED Komodo, swooping over the landscape to offer breathtaking views of the EV6 in motion. On location with Rafa Nadal we used the Trinity 2 steadicam.

As the local service partner, we provided end-to-end support, hiring local crew, sourcing camera and lighting equipment, handling logistics, coordinating permits, and arranging smooth transport for the travelling team. A standout detail from this shoot: our on-site professional barista, who kept the energy high throughout a long but focused shooting schedule.
