Behind Every Shot: The Making of KIA’s ‘Dear Tennis’ 2024 Commercial in Madrid

At TAN TAN, we recently had the pleasure of providing full production service support for KIA’s Dear Tennis commercial, created for the 2024 Australian Open by London-based production company Family Creative.

The spot was directed by Chris Fowles and beautifully captured by DOP Andi Hampton.

This project was more than a commercial for KIA’s latest electric SUV, the EV9. It was a tribute to the spirit of tennis itself, narrated by none other than Rafael Nadal. His moving voiceover, “Dear Tennis, you are more than just a game...” transforms the film into a love letter to the sport, reflecting its power to inspire and endure.

As a production service producer in Madrid and Mallorca, we handled all on-the-ground logistics. This included location scouting across tennis venues, crew sourcing, equipment rental, permit coordination, and overseeing the dynamic car tracking shots filmed on location in Madrid.
